    Hi

Thanks a lot for this simple plugin. I started to use it for making my main menu sticky on top. It works well until this case:

    – menu is already sticky to the top when I am somewhere on the page (class FixedWidget__fixed_widget__pinned is active)
    – I change the size of viewport

For example I load page with small window of the browser, sroll down to make menu sticky and then I maximize the window.

Is there any solution for that?

    Thanks a lot

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hey krysar,

    thanks for reaching out.

We are looking into recalculating the fixed widget position when resizing the window. That is not yet a feature. I will let you know when there is something to test.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

Thanks for response. I understand ?? I am looking forward for this feature. Your plugin is even withnout it so far best alternative from what I have tried ??

    Hey @krysar,

I just uploaded a development version for you to test it out. It should recalculate the fixed widget positions when resizing the window.

Please let me know if it comes with the expected behavior.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

Perfect. Thanks a lot. I appreciate you quick reaction.

Looks ok on my side in most cases ?? I can find just one scenario, when it does not work:

On mobile screen, when flipping mobile from wide screen to narrow and vice versa. It is not reacting and resizing properly. But usually it reacts later (sometimes very late) after some scrolling… Everything is always ok after reaching top of the page, when menu fits its usual position and size and sort of reset itself.

On desktop it is ok even when I try to maximize window and vice versa, so this jump does not break it.

And just one new thing: I guess the fixed menu tries to shift for the logged in user – but it stays shifted even when it comes back to the top of the page.

    Thanks for your feedback!

I am not sure what you mean with your last two replies.

Would you be able to record a video or send me more details on how to reproduce it? For the latter, I would need to know where I can find the theme and the exact options you used.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

Second problem (can be seen only while I am logged in):

Shift of the menu ok (somewhere on the page): https://drive.google.com/file/d/10bq19zNrxjXKCnebmgaLpf-zUhQq52q1/view?usp=sharing

Shift not ok (page is scrolled back to top): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mPqXHCE1xW9E45CO2XGDn580qgFt_3kq/view?usp=sharing

    I hope this helps

    Hey @krysar,

    thanks for the screenshots!

Is the behavior the same when you enable the “Improved version” option in the Fixed Widget plugin settings?

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Hey @krysar,

    we checked the problems again.

    > The flipped mobile problem illustrate this two pictures:

I tried to reproduce it on your site and only saw it once. After that, it seemed to work on all pages. I guess this might have been fixed in the previous dev version but needed the browser cache to update.

    > Second problem (can be seen only while I am logged in):

I uploaded another dev version where this should be fixed. Please give it a try and let me know.

    Thanks,
    Thomas

    Hi

    Thanks for another improvements.

Yes I have “improved version” checked.

Your link is not working but I dowloaded dev version from previous link.

” The flipped mobile problem” – it is ok now.

Second “shift when logged in” problem is still present. I deleted cache of the page and of the browser.

    Hi krysar,

    thanks for the update.

You are right, I forgot the fix for the second problem. Please test this version.

    Thanks,

Great. Thanks for all your feedback and testing!

    Thomas

Hi @webzunft — Thank you very much for creating this great plugin!

We had noticed the same behavior on our site (sticky sidebar elements repositioning incorrectly after window resizing) and found the support thread here. We installed the testing version on our development site (with “Improved version” checked) but have now noticed that, after resizing a window, the sticky sidebar element does not abide by the Margin Bottom or Stop Elements on the page.

You can see an example here: https://q1mirror.merchantmaverick.com/reviews/ramp-corporate-card-review/

    Username: mmmm
    Password: MMMM

If you scroll the window without resizing, the “Ramp” sidebar item works correctly, but if you load, then resize, the Margin Bottom setting (600px) and Stop Element (#footer-top-newsletter) do not work correctly.

    Thanks for your help!
