I was wondering is it possible to use one product page to incorporate multiple versions of the same product for a free download & a paid download? Here is the scenario:

I create digital music, I want to offer one type of format for free to download and another type of format as a paid option without having to create a duplicate product page for the paid version. Is this possible? It’s seems like the single file download option in the package settings is kind of it, but not sure you can indicate which download is free and is paid.

Hope that was easy to understand. I didn’t know how to search for this feature/option in the support docs…

    Hi,
Yes, you can add free files with the premium package. You’ll find this option in the “Pricing and Discounts” tab of the “Package Settings” meta box.
    Best regards.

Ok I see where you can set free downloads but how are they viewed to the end user? I only saw the ‘Add to Cart’ button for the price I set for the paid download but no button for that free download I set. Do I have to use a certain page template?

Use the “Premium Package” page template. This template has the [free_download_button] template tag which renders the button that serves the free download.

Last question, I assume for this to work I have to have the paid version of the Download Manager Pro because of the multi-file download option?
