When I manually archive an email and then the user register again the status remain archived instead of subscribed. Can I change this?

I still don’t know why, while I have 902 WP Users, on mailchimp are 896 subscribed.
I wanted to sync them but it seems not to work.
    I chose butches like:

Resync contact IDs and tags for every user
    Push user meta

    Hot tu resync all users?

    Hey @jaroslawistok ??

If you want to export all your site users to Mailchimp, you can run an Export Users operation: https://wpfusion.com/documentation/tutorials/batch-operations/#export-users

But Mailchimp doesn’t allow us to re-activate someone who has already unsubscribed from your list. I believe that’s to comply with spam laws.

Unsubscribed users I just archive (sometimes delete). But reactivation by archived should be possible. I saw this by last member which didn’t click veryfying link. I archived this one. later he registered again, is user in my system, but still archived by mailchimp.

I guess it occured several times, so I want to have them as subscribed there.
I am not sure if by exporting will not be there double entries…

I did it anyway. Now are only 3 that fail by mailchip. Much better now ??

    Hey @jaroslawistok ,

We’ve just tested it and we’re seeing the same thing. When a subscriber is archived, they stay archived even if they register in WordPress.

WP Fusion does see the archived subscriber, and their ID is stored. You can also apply tags to the archived subscriber, however you can’t update any custom fields.

This means if you were using WP Fusion to protect content using tags (https://wpfusion.com/documentation/getting-started/access-control/), it will work with archived subscribers… but you won’t be able to send emails to them.

I have now problems after your tips with export users. Since then are all users without email marketing (???)
I even can’t chan them to subscribers ??

    As I see:
1 contact was not included (already unsubscribed, did not opt in to marketing, cleaned).

    What should I do? ??

Hey @jaroslawistok, if the contacts have already unsubscribed from marketing, then it’s not possible to re-subscribe them using WP Fusion (this would violate anti-spam laws).

You can test this by registering a new WordPress user with a fresh email, you should see the subscriber added to Mailchimp with the “subscribed” flag ?

For those existing contacts, if you are sure they have not unsubscribed in the past, you could ask Mailchimp support why they are showing as invalid. For example some platforms automatically mark info@, support@, contact@ (etc) type email addresses as invalid…. but I don’t think that’s the case with Mailchimp.

    (@jaroslawistok)

But I really don’t understand where could it be done.
As I know there is no place to unsubscribe only from marketing.
When somebody unsubscribe generally I see this and then delete / archive this user.
But from marketing to unsubscribe is nowhere possible as I know ??

    Example New User on Mailchimp:

    Simon.stark91@********

Added via API on Juli 16th at 5:37 vorm. Central European Summer Time

Opted in on Juli 16th at 5:37 vorm. Central European Summer Time

This person is only eligible for transactional emails.

    P.S.

Something is wrong with my new users but I haven’t change anything on Fuse or Mailchimp or Registerform. I just registered a [email protected] and this one is activated but now not at all on mailchimp ?? Also this user is not automatically in standard group by profile Grid, I have to manually add.

Is this a real new user, or someone who was on your list before?

Can you try a completely new email address, like [email protected]?

Are your new users being synced with a first and last name? This post https://github.com/mailchimp/mc-woocommerce/issues/411 says there might be something related to the name missing, that causes them to be set to transactional only ??

    (@jaroslawistok)

Sorry testuser was already archived. Could you please register with [email protected] and then verify? I will later delete you ??

Names were never mandatory on page, only email, nickname/username and GDPR.

    Just registered. How’s it look?

Can you try it with / without a name to see if it makes a difference in the Subscribed status?

I wonder if Mailchimp sets you to “transactional only” if you don’t have a name. In that case you might need to make the name mandatory.

I am suprised , created another testuser and now got email, besides from profile grid also from Mailchimp to verify. It was never the case before. Did Mailchimp changed something?

    Please Confirm Subscription

Yes, subscribe me to this list.
If you received this email by mistake, simply delete it. You won't be subscribed if you don't click the confirmation link above.

For questions about this list, please contact:
    [email protected]

    P.S.

No wonder that my users don’t do this twice ??
Do you know how to avoid this mail form Mailchimp?
That is I guess the cause why this users are not for marketing emails.

    Plugin Author verygoodplugins

    (@verygoodplugins)

Ah yes that’s the double opt-in email. You can disable it for that list, here’s some info https://www.emailtech.co/blog/how-to-disable-double-opt-in-mailchimp

    Thread Starter jaroslawistok

    (@jaroslawistok)

Double optin is already by profile grid and there never has been a problem with double optin by mailchimp (from your last link).
Is this something new by Mailchimp?

My testuser22 (new created) is still not on mailchimp list, also not yours.
Do you know Profile Grid? I could send you Admin access on your email address. Would you maybe help me?

    Plugin Author verygoodplugins

    (@verygoodplugins)

No, I think you have double optin enabled in Mailchimp. Can you check there, in the list settings?

    https://images.contentful.com/yzco4xsimv0y/6vTai9wQrpA3I6kVIxWWv9/ae06918b8673890d7929f14921141bb5/form-doubleoptin-enabledoubleoptin.png

WP Fusion will always respect the double opt-in settings on your list. If your list requires double opt-in, then people will need to confirm their email.

As far as I know it has always been this way, nothing has changed with Mailchimp.

We can’t log into your site as a part of free support but if you were interested in purchasing a license (https://wpfusion.com/pricing/) then we have priority support at https://wpfusion.com/contact/, and in that case we could log into your site and/or and check everything out for you/

    Thread Starter jaroslawistok

    (@jaroslawistok)

It has to be another problem ??
I get my users via profile grid plugin not via forms.
This settings from your link are only for forms.
By the way double optin was still unchecked there.

    Plugin Author verygoodplugins

    (@verygoodplugins)

Hmm I’m not sure in that case. Is it possible you enabled the double opt-in in WP Fusion? https://i.wpfusion.com/tNyjdZ

I’ve just done a fresh test on a clean site, added a new user via Users >> Add New, and it was synced to Mailchimp https://i.wpfusion.com/N3Jwij

The subscriber shows up as Subscribed https://i.wpfusion.com/3L0TeI

We don’t have an integration with Profile Grid, does that plugin also integrate with Mailchimp? it’s possible that plugin is modifying the data somehow, hard to say.

Can you try disabling any plugins that relate to Mailchimp, and then adding a new user in the admin via Users >> Add New?
