“Cart Recovery” email sending despite being disabled

    Hi all,

    I’m experiencing a very strange problem with a client’s site: WooCommerce recently sent a followup “abandoned cart” email to a customer even though the feature was deactivated when I checked it in the email settings for “cart recovery”. In addition to this, the email included the correct quantity and individual price for the product (1 bottle of olive oil for $200), but the total at the bottom was something crazy like $16,000, which reasonably scared the customer. It looks like a relatively new feature under “Campaigns”. I do not want these emails sent at all but am afraid another one will be sent anyway. Anyone else experience this problem?

    Thanks for reaching out.

    WooCommerce doesn’t have this functionality by default, it looks like you are using some plugin for that.

    It will be great if you could share your current System Status Report. You can get it by navigating to the WooCommerce / Status section of your site. Once there, click on the Get system report button and then copy it by clicking on the Copy for support button. Then paste it here in a comment.

    @mediawhale Thank you for your response. I should mention that the site is hosted by GoDaddy and they seem to be trying to play middle man with the email settings, so it may have to do with that. Here is the status report:

    Hi there,

    I just checked your System Status Report, and I found there are a couple of database tables that are related to cart recovery.

godaddy_mwc_checkout

    It looks like it’s coming from Godaddy, can you please try to reach out to Godaddy support for that, and see if they are able to provide any solution. Rest assured, that WooCommerce doesn’t have this functionality by default.

    Much appreciated @daniyalahmedk – I just sent them a support request and will hopefully hear back soon. I realized after posting how much GoDaddy is playing a role in the WC interface with their Managed WP hosting option and that this is likely causing the problem. Thanks again.
