    Hi,
Email for lost password, new user registrations etc are not delivering to users. In “WP Mail Logging Log” It shows mail delivered but it never reaches to users.

Please help us with the issue and steps to fix.

  • Hi @brillinfotech

    Thanks for reaching out.

It is great that you have already installed WP Mail Logging. I understand that its logs are showing that the emails are generated and delivered.

    it never reaches to users

First of all you’d want to check whether by any chance the emails are landing into the users’ spam folders. That is a strong possibility.

If that isn’t the case, that means the server is blocking them from being sent further. If there is nothing wrong with the receiving account and it definitely did not go to spam, you could ask your hosting provider if they are aware of any config changes or network issues impacting email. You may inform your host to help troubleshoot this using the guide below: https://kb.mailster.co/smtp-error-data-not-accepted/

Failing that, our Email troubleshooting guide has instructions for setting up an SMTP provider to deliver emails instead: https://woocommerce.com/document/email-faq/ . This can be more reliable in some cases.

We have a detailed guide on troubleshooting WooCommerce email issues here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/email-faq/

If the issue persists, could you please navigate to WooCommerce > Status > Logs and from the dropdown on the right side, please see if there are any logs starting with the words fatal-error? Please let us know what you find.

We haven’t heard back from you, so I’m marking this thread as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.

The issue is still there. The webhost can’t block emails, as it is working for contact us form

    Hi @brillinfotech,

Sorry to hear that the issue persists. Did you follow our Email troubleshooting guide has as suggested by Margaret? https://woocommerce.com/document/email-faq/

If so, could you please navigate to WooCommerce > Status > Logs and from the dropdown on the right side, please see if there are any logs starting with the words fatal-error?

Please let us know how it goes.

    Hi,
I did fresh setup in that I had default 2021 theme and woocommerce, even in that case email didn’t delivered to user.

There is no fatal error in WooCommerce > Status > Logs

I tried with SMTP as well, in that case also email didn’t delivered for lost password

Email for contact form is working fine. Only with woocommerce forms it’s not working

    Hi @brillinfotech

    Thanks for trying that.

Email for contact form is working fine. Only with woocommerce forms it’s not working

That is a point to note.

By the way, is the issue with the lost password email only? Are other WooCommerce emails working fine?

Let’s go back and check the basic things.

Could you please go to WooCommerce > Settings > Emails, and check if emails are enabled?

Next, you’ll want to check if you have the right “From” email address in WooCommerce > Settings >Emails.

If you cannot find anything wrong with these then I would recommend performing a full conflict test to try and narrow down to a probable conflicting tool. That would entail deactivating all plugins except the WooCommerce and switching your theme to Storefront to see if you see the same behavior. Here’s the conflict test guide for reference: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

Additionally, the solutions provided in this article could be of help: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-wordpress-not-sending-email-issue/
