Shortcode not working in php

Hello,

The shortcode in php shown on the plugin page does not work;

<?php echo do_shortcode('[bc_random_banner]'); ?>

I added this code from wordpress theme editor to footer.php file but banner did not appear on the site. I also created a file named randomb.php containing the php shortcode and uploaded it to the site home directory but it still didn’t work.
