So I have been having issues with server loading for around 6 weeks, high CPU usage.
    I have tried many things.
I notice that a cron job runs frequently even when I have disabled MailPoet.

It can take 60 seconds to run.

Is this a hack that looks like MailPoet, or is it functionality?

If it is functionality how can I get it to stop given I have deactivated MailPoet?

    What is MailPoet_router?

    /?mailpoet_router&endpoint=cron_daemon&action=run&data=eyJ0b2tlbiI6IjFoZG9uIn0

    Hi @lickthespoon,

We’ve already discussed this via email, but I’ll share our answers here as well in case it can be useful to another user facing the same situation.

These are genuine calls related to background jobs ran by our plugin. It should be called a loopback request and normally the source IP should be your own website’s server.

In your case, it was also related to the old version of our plugin, MailPoet 2, even after deleting this plugin from your website. We removed your website from our MailPoet 2 cron system and we hope this has been fixed now.
