Country Dropdown Menu Not Displaying First Line | Woocommerce Checkout Page

    Hi all!

    I’m working on the checkout page of my website using Elementor and Woocommerce.

    The drop-down menu where you select the Country on the checkout page doesn’t work properly. When you click on the drop-down menu, the first line of the list where it says : “Select a Country / Region…” (first option value) doesn’t show up.

    Instead, the space where the Select Country is supposed to be, is showing the form that’s underneath the drop-down list, namely the next input field which is Street Address.

    How can I resolve this?

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    I checked the image you sent and I think this could be related to your theme.

    Could you please try changing it to a default one like Storefront and check if the issue persists?

    Thank you for your quick reply!

    I’ve tried 2 default WordPress themes, twenty twenty-two and twenty twenty-one.

    With both of these themes the “gap” between the input field and the list has disappeared, so that’s good. Although the Select a country still doesn’t show. Could there be some other problem?

    Also, with another theme than what I have built the website with, I’d have to change a lot to have it look the way it did before. Can I keep the look of the website exactly like before with another theme somehow, maybe by using the Elementor Template function?

    So that we get a thorough understanding of the issue here, could you elaborate a bit on these phrases?

    In the Elementor Editor, the “Select a Country / Region.. ” is visible, please see this image https://freeimage.host/i/h5VGII.

    However, when you see a preview of the checkout page, this is what you see https://freeimage.host/i/hASfLl.

    I cannot provide a link to the checkout page at this time, the website isn’t live yet. If there’s another way to share the page in maintenance mode, I’d be happy to share.

    Hi @ihereira,

    I wasn’t aware it was an Elementor issue since it was suggested here that it might be a Theme issue.

    Anyway, thanks for the link to the article. Will try it and contact Elementor if needed!

    If there are any issues still, I will open a new ticket.
