[Plugin: WP e-Commerce] No Products / can’t edit products

  • Installed the latest WP ecommerce today, July 6, 2010 onto WP 3.0. Spent half a day customizing it for a client. Went to the Products section in the admin panel, and, although I had entered half a dozen products, the message on the Display Products page with View All Categories selected by defualt is: “You have no products added.”

    I selected one of the two categories I had created in that same admin window (Display Products) and hit the filter button, and there was a list of my products – for a second I was hopeful – but when I clicked on the name of the product or the “Edit” link for any product, no details showed to edit. Completely blank. Still shows the Add Product fields on the right side of the page. no change.

    Am I crazy? Is the product there? Yes. If I click on the View button under one of the product names, it shows up on my site. If I navigate my site, it is there. I just can’t edit it.

    Relief from the fact you can click ont he edit button from the site to take you to the screen to edit a product.

    I spent few good hours myself trying to understand while having the same problem….

    If you’re using 3.7.6.7 open up Store > Settings > Presentation and ensure Drag and Drop is disabled. Then give it a go on the Store > Products page. If this fixed it try turning Drag and Drop back on.

    When I choose an option other than “Drag and Drop” for “Sort Products By:” it works fine.

    When I re-select “Drag and Drop” it’s broken again.

    Is there a fix to the “Drag and Drop” option out there?

    That ‘drag and drop’ setting threw me through a loop as well. What’s up with that? Thanks for pointing it out though.

    I can’t edit products, or see any but 2 in ‘all products’ view when ‘Drag and Drop’ is turned on.

    What a relief.

    Has there been a fix to this yet? It’s a bit of a pain to turn off drag n drop to edit and then turn it back on again.

    the same crazy thing happened to me in both safari 5 and firefox 3.6.10 for mac, using wordpress 3.0.1.
    is there a fix yet?

    Same problem here… I cant edit products or view all categories (its empty). I should choose some category in order to view its details.

    Any fix ? I am using e-commerce 3.7.7. and WordPress 3.0.2

    Yeah – this is just totally busted – still broken – I just lost about 2 hours of my life – thank goodness for these wordpress boards. Though still would be nice to see a fix some time soon…
