Posts through GN need a lot of time to show – through regular feed they show fas

  • Hello.

    I am using your GN plugin, and it sorts everything under categories, just like we would like it.

    Unfortunately, for some reason, it needs hours, even days to show in Google Publisher Center, but also in our Google Newsfeed.

    On the other hand, when we use a directly ‘only’ feed, like this https://fictionhorizon.com/feed/, then we get posts in minutes or one to two hours.

    Can you please let me know what could be causing your plugin to push them so slower?

  • Hi Hrvojeos,

    Honestly, I don’t know.

    I checked the feed that GN Publisher is generating on your site and it looks fine, and is updated. Usually using GN Publisher is faster because it pings Google when a post is published.

    If you are having success with your standard feed, i would use it,

    But is there a way to make ‘normal’ feed with categories, as your plugin does?

    Also, is it a problem for News, if I just put feed with everything in it, even though not all of those articles are news articles?

    I checked and you have access to the default feeds for categories as well, for example: https://fictionhorizon.com/category/movies/feed/

    Yes, in your Publication you can include ‘evergreen’ articles ??
