The site owner wants a captcha added. I tried to add a field in the way described in the documentation, but when I click on “Add field” after choosing the captcha, it just shows me a white screen. I tried adding a text field to see if it was something to do with the captcha in particular, and I tried clicking on “update fields.” No luck. Any suggestions?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

First thing, make sure you’re using the latest version of Participants Database, should be 2.1.2

If your plugins are up to date and you’re still getting the issue, you should turn plugin debugging on, clear the debugging log, then attempt to add your field again. Look at the log, there should be some indication what the problem is.

Thank you. I did this, but there is nothing in the debugging log. It just says, “Log file initiated at: June 1, 2022 6:30 pm UTC.”

This is what I am seeing after I click on “Add file.”

    I have the latest version.

I’ve tried in Safari and Chromer, in case that makes any difference.

OK, first, I suggest you go to the admin Plugins page and deactivate then activate the Participants Database plugin. Do not delete the plugin, you may lose all your settings and data! Just deactivate it, then reactivate it.

It is a good idea to make sure you have a recent backup of the data before doing this.

If that does not restore the functionality, you will need to take a look at your php error log to see what the problem is. Ask your hosting provider about this if you don’t have this set up already.

    Thank you! That worked.
