I installed the plugin 4 days ago. Since then, I can see two conversions (/checkout/thank-you/) from Google Ads in Google Analytics. I’ve also verified this with matomo analytics.

But it’s not being reported in the Google Adwords against the campaign. It says 0 conversion.

I’ve done the settings as per the instructions.

    Conversion name
    abanahomes
    Goal and action optimization
    Purchases, Primary action
    Value
Use different values. If there's no value, use ?0.
    Source
    Not editable

    Website
    Count
    Every conversion
    Click-through conversion window
    30 days
    Engaged-view conversion window
    3 days
    View-through conversion window
    30 days
    Attribution model
    Position-based

Could you please help me in getting the conversion tracked in Google Ads?

    Cheers, Pooja

    Hi Pooja

Please check if Google Ads received data from the pixel as described here: https://sweetcode.com/docs/wpm/testing#confirm-if-the-google-ads-pixel-is-sending-data

If the “last seen” date is the date of the last order, then it works fine.

Google Ads only reports conversions if a purchase was triggered by an ad click. It can take a few hours before conversions show up. And the attribution logic is not the same as in Google Analytics.

Please run a test to be sure: https://sweetcode.com/docs/wpm/testing

    Kind regards
    Aleksandar

Thanks for the quick response. Really appreciate the support.

    I checked both the items.
If the “last seen” date is the date of the last order, then it works fine.

    Yes, it is the same.
Conversion through Google Ads happened yesterday. Both the dates showing on the “Conversion” are “yesterday”.

Please run a test to be sure: https://sweetcode.com/docs/wpm/testing
Yes, I tested through the Google Tag Manager and Its “Green”.

Also, I checked the Label and Conversion ID. All are intact..
    Conversion ID
    803916389
    Conversion label
    -cmyCPmk7IMBEOWUq_8C

It’s been already 48 hours since the conversion that happened on 26th. So that point is also covered. It should have been recorded.

What could be the possible reason then?

    Cheers, Pooja.

Did you place a test order, point by point, as in the description?

All the steps mentioned below are performed. Here are two screenshots of what appeared in the Google Tags Assistant.

    https://abanahomes.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/tracking.png

Also, I noticed that it appeared in the Google Analytics Real Time Data as conversion. – Just for information..

I guess I’ll wait for 48 hours to see if this conversion appears in the Google Ads Campaign.

    — Steps Followed —
In order to find out if the conversion tracking works, the best way is to test it by placing an order and wait until conversion is reported. Please follow the instructions exactly. All steps are important in order to ensure a valid test.

Turn off any kind of caching and / or minification plugins (because they can break the tracking code)
Disable order deduplication in the advanced menu of the plugin (remember to re-enable deduplication once done with testing)
    Log out of the shop
Turn off any kind of ad or script blocker in your browser (because they can disable the tracking code)
Search for one of your keywords and click on one of your ads
Purchase an item from your shop
Wait up to 48 hours until the conversion shows up in Google Ads. (usually it takes only a few hours). When you look at the report in Google Ads make sure the date range includes the dates of the ad click and the current date.

    Hi @poojajosh,

We’ll keep this thread open until you’ve confirmed that the pixel data is now being reported.

Feel free to open another thread should you have other concerns.

Now the 48 hours window is also over. In the mean time, we see 5 conversions from Shopping Ad campaign in the Google Analytics and other analytics tools that we use.

Could you please look into this and help us with it?

If you need to create an order to complete the cycle and see, let me know privately and I’ll share the details with you to create a free order.
