PFBC Error on Login Page

    Hello, we recently began to see this error on our site’s login page:

    Error: The pfbc project requires an active session to function properly. Please contact your hosting service provider to resolve this problem.

    Users are unable to login anymore except admins. We have updated all plugins as well as the WordPress core to 6.0. Also, we are running PHP 8.0.

    Please what does the pfbc project mean and how should we go about resolving this? Thank you.

  • When I had this error it was caused by an error in a user.php.ini file. Deleting that file made the error go away but not sure why.
