Difference between <www> and <https://> domains

I’ve been maneuvering through the settings of my host/wordpress. I was wondering if there is any difference between including <www> or just using <https://>
an example would be https://www.themodernaesthete.com
or https://themodernaesthete.comIs there a difference?
