Try resettings your plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

This happened to me yesterday, I upgraded to 3.0 about two weeks ago, and yesterday i couldn’t login to my admin page (or view my blog). My server was fine, and i could login to my webspace and see that all the files were there. I just had a blank page when testing in multiple browsers. (my main domain sites were fine, but my wordpress blog would not show at all).

The problem lasted about 10 hours, although i logged in this morning and it was fine (no problems).

I had a similar thing happen about a month ago. I contacted my webhosting providers and they said it was a problem with my ISP.

Anyway, the problem returned yesterday and i thought i’d leave it overnight just to see if things worked the following day. I regularly backup my blog, php and xml databases, although i didn’t want to start reinstalling my blog, so i just left it overnight and it is fine this morning.

If anyone experiences similar problems like this in the future (blank admin page/blank blog), i would recommend leaving the blog overnight, and checking the following day. I’m not sure what caused my blog to fail, but as mentioned earlier, i left it overnight and it is working fine today, and it saved me a lot of unnecessary work in rebuilding the blog.

Hopefully this will help others who experience similar problems (blank admin screen and blank blog page).

I realise that this may not solve identical problems for other users, but its worth a try.

I’ve seen many posts in this forum on similar problem. Not sure if the problem was caused by a conflict with my plugins or themes, I downgraded my wordpress blog from 3.0 to 2.9.2 to avoid further hassle! So far so good.

Hi tony, yes i was reading some of your posts yesterday when i was trying to understand why my blog was also showing a blank screen.
It does seem like its affecting quite a lot of people.
I guess the problem can arise from various factors (themes / plugins etc.)

Its a bit strange, as its now happened to me twice (blank screen and unable to loging to admin page or view my blog) and the problem weirdly fixes itself after 10-12 hours.

Hope you have more luck after downgrading to 2.9.2, i’d definitely like to know what caused my blog to stop loading yesterday, but as i mentioned earlier its all working fine today.

Anyone here try to reset their plugins when the problem occurs, as mentioned in the first reply?

Macmanx, I’ve tried the above suggestion before but did not work for me.

yes, the roten apple was the skype status plugin, other plugins are working jus fine, there is a list:

    AddToAny: Share/Bookmark/Email Button
    Versión .9.9.5.7
    All in One SEO Pack
    Versión 1.6.11
    Global Translator
    Versión 1.3.1
    Google XML Sitemaps
    Versión 3.2.4
    NextGEN Gallery
    Versión 1.5.5
    NextGEN Galleryview
    Versión 1.0.1
    Simply Show IDs
    Versión 1.3.3
    Smart Ads
    Versión 2.2
    Twitter Widget
    Versión 1.0.3
    WP-Polls
    Versión 2.50
    WP Customized Login
    Versión 1.0
    WP Forum Server
    Versión 1.4

I mention this because in multi-activing the plugin, i get some weird error messages about other plugins, like wp polls, but, activating it individually works just fine
