• hey guys,

i have a pretty big problem here.

So I had an Error on my site and my only solution was downloading the “wp-reset” plugin, use it – and upload my Backup via FTP.

It worked all fine, my Plugins are all back BUT somehow my pages dont show. I have an “example page” and a policy test page. But not my 20 pages I designed and filled with texts.

I have 30k/monthly visitors and I really need to get my pages back, so I dont have to recreate it all.

About my Backup: I have a backup of the whole folder on my FTP, which was made before the Error came up. So I thought I can just delete my website, upload the Backup on my FTP Server and everything is good. But it isnt – my content is missing… ??

Im reaaally upset and out of solutions, so I hope somebody could maybe help me out…

    Best Regards!
    Béla

When you restored the backup, did you also import the backup of your database? It’s not just a file you upload. Your content is in the database.

How did you make the backup in the first place?

my provider (1&1 ionos) makes daily backups of my whole server – so i called them and explained my problem and they uploaded a folder on my webspace with the backup. I will try to explain the backup with my bad english haha: so I have a webspace. In that webspace are several folders. each folder is named like the belonging domain. (i have a lot of websites) insinde that folder is everything wordpress has installed there. My Plugins, my photos, and a lot of other stuff.

Should I try to explain again, or am I understandable?

Is there a file in there with the extension “.sql” or anything like that or with “database” in the name or named for your database? You really need to ask them.

From your hosting control panel, go to PHPMYADMIN. Select your site’s database and import that .sql file from the backup.
