    Our category colors work on one day, but not across multiple as can be seen on the calendar. Any help with figuring out why would be much appreciated, thank you.

    I’ve been digging into this for over an hour and I really don’t know why it’s doing this. You can see from my test site at https://tribe.thefragens.net how it should look.

    You might try switching back to a default theme and see if that works, but I couldn’t identify any conflicts or CSS overriding.

    When I inspect with the web dev tools in firefox it shows this:

    .tribe-events-category-vtr h2.tribe-events-list-event-title.entry-title a, .tribe-events-category-vtr h2.tribe-events-list-event-title a, .tribe-events-category-vtr h3.tribe-events-list-event-title a, .tribe-event-featured .tribe-events-category-vtr h3.tribe-events-list-event-title a, .tribe-events-list .tribe-events-loop .tribe-event-featured.tribe-events-category-vtr h3.tribe-events-list-event-title a .tribe-events-shortcode .tribe-events-month table .type-tribe_events.tribe-events-category-vtr, .tribe-events-list-widget li.tribe-events-category-vtr a:link, .tribe-events-list-widget li.tribe-events-category-vtr a:visited, li.tribe-events-list-widget-events.tribe-events-category-vtr a:link, li.tribe-events-list-widget-events.tribe-events-category-vtr a:visited, .tribe-events-list .tribe-events-loop .tribe-event-featured.tribe-events-category-vtr h3.tribe-events-list-event-title a:hover, #tribe-events-content table.tribe-events-calendar .type-tribe_events.tribe-events-category-vtr.tribe-event-featured h3.tribe-events-month-event-title a:hover, .teccc-legend li.tribe_events_cat-vtr a, .tribe-common article.tribe_events_cat-vtr h3 a, .tribe-common article.tribe_events_cat-vtr h3 a:link, .tribe-common article.tribe_events_cat-vtr h3 a:visited, article.tribe-events-calendar-month__multiday-event.tribe_events_cat-vtr h3, #tribe-events-content table.tribe-events-calendar .tribe-event-featured.tribe-events-category-vtr .tribe-events-month-event-title a, .teccc-legend li.tribe-events-category-vtr a, .tribe-events-calendar .tribe-events-category-vtr a, #tribe-events-content .teccc-legend li.tribe-events-category-vtr a, #tribe-events-content .tribe-events-calendar .tribe-events-category-vtr a, .type-tribe_events.tribe-events-category-vtr h2 a, .tribe-events-category-vtr > div.hentry.vevent > h3.entry-title a, .tribe-events-mobile.tribe-events-category-vtr h4 a {
      color: #fff;
      text-decoration: none;
    }

    Even though we have the category color in the plugin set to: #a7141d

    Unsure if this helps at all, but it seems to be calling out this part superficially: article.tribe-events-calendar-month__multiday-event.tribe_events_cat-vtr h3 in the above code.

    That’s for the text, not for the background.

    Try switching to a default theme like TwentySixteen.

    I tried that, and it works as it should in the TwentySixteen theme. So, it would seem it is an issue with our theme.
