Convert from Classic to Block Theme

  • Premium user and have tried contacting support through the suggested premium channels, but it’s been 12 days now without a response so I figured I’d try here.

    I recently moved to using the new Twenty Twenty-Two block theme and haven’t been able to convert my old galleries. If I try using the “Convert to Blocks” action, it just removes everything and prompts me to add images as if I just created a new gallery. If I try to directly edit the short-code in any way it throws an error and won’t render the gallery.

    Since I got tired of waiting for an answer I decided to just build one of the galleries from scratch again. Problem now is that it doesn’t have the same configuration options as before. Specifically, I can’t find a sort option. AFAICT, the only way to sort images is to use the drag and drop option when you are editing the gallery using the standard interface which is impractical the the size of my galleries. As I’ve indicated already, you can’t directly edit the short-code like before.

    So I can neither convert my galleries, nor recreate them the way they were before. Could someone help me get this sorted please.

    I just ended up using custom html so I could edit the shortcode as before. It seems to respect the layout and animation options. A shame I couldn’t just convert and use the Meow Gallery Block as designed.

    I couldn’t use the new gallery block either since it seems to be json based and apparently it also has sorting issues they are still working out.

    Or, possibly this is a volunteer forum and the developer know that they cannot in anyway support a premium user on this site. That’s not allowed for anyone here.

    For pro or commercial product support please contact the developer directly on their site. This includes any pre-sales topics as well.

    As the developer is aware, commercial products are not supported in these forums. I am sure they will have no problem supporting you there.
