How to put a file download link on sidebar?

  • Hi there,

    I wanna put a PPT file on sidebar that people can download from there. Is there any widget can let me do that? Or what script I should put in the sidebar.php?

  • You can goto WordPress Admin -> Appearance -> Widgets.
    Create a new Text Widget and move into the sidebar you required.
    If your theme supports dynamic sidebar, then it will display in the sidebar.
    If it doesn’t support then you need to modify your function.php and sidebar.php in your theme files.
