Social Media control not working

Hi. I’m switching to your Shuttle Photo theme and I’m having one problem with it. I can’t enable the social media links, either on the pre-header or the footer. They are off by default, but when I click on the On button, nothing happens.

Further to this – I’ve now tried switching other settings on and off (for example Enable Fixed Layout and Enable Breadcrumbs) and they don’t work either. I’ve tried in both Firefox and Chrome on both my development site and the live site (https://www.leicesterastronomicalsociety.co.uk/) where I’ve now put the theme live.
