    Hello and thanks for help:

What worked with one of my sites does not work with another one:

wordfence central dashboard > connection issues > click ‘complete setup’ > I am redirected to login of my site >
    > I try any of the admins (all successfully using wordfence) of my site >
    > message displayed in red:

CODE REQUIRED: Please provide your 2FA code when prompted. >

    > and then the procedure stops = no prompt arrives = I can’t complete setup of my site in wordfence central …

And after deleting this line in the connection issues I can’t login anymore to my site.
The popup for the 2FA verification doesn’t show up.
In the browser I allowed popups for all and especially for my site.
    Something is preventing the 2FA-popup.

It’s even worse: after the connection issue with my 3rd website I can’t no longer login to my other websites (with plugin wordfence) as well.
If my password is not correct, I get an errormessage in red.
But with the correct password only the same 2FA-message appears:

CODE REQUIRED: Please provide your 2FA code when prompted.

It looks like wordfence is blocking all my websites with the installed plugin.
Even those allready registered in the dashboard of wordfence.com/central.
I am receiving emails telling me to upgrade to premium.
So, this blocking might be the commercial strategy of wordfence.com …

Yes, it seems wordfence is blocking the 2FA-popup.

with FTP go to the wordpressTree:
    wp-content/plugins/
    rename folder wordfence to wordfence-something
login to the website: no 2FA required, so wordfencePlugin doesn’t show up anymore
as long as in admin-mode restore the name of the pluginFolder to wordfence
reload the page and the wordfencePlugin reappears

At this point I liberated one of my adminLogins from 2FA
= to have one less complicated access for the next couple days

    Thanks for reaching out.

I’m not sure why the 2FA window isn’t opening exactly. Can you try entering your username and the password for your site with the code added? For instance if your password was p@ssw0rd and the code was 123456, you would enter p@ssw0rd 123456 in the password field. Try that and let me know.

    @wfsupport
Thanx Tim for your support ??
I apologize for the missing end of that story.

After I deleted another plugin (= ProfilePress) the popup for the 2FAcode reappeared. And the plugin wordfence works now – since then.

A troublemaker, ProfilePress, I should have recognised earlier …
