Elementor is auto-updating by breaking sites!

  • Recently I have detected that Elementor is updating automatically in all the sites where I have it installed causing critical errors as shown in this image: https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/25993129?key=b0479a1acd43112f7ee2f675dc91806c

    This is a SEVERE failure, it caused me serious problems with many clients at the same time. The worst thing is that none of the sites have the “Auto update” option enabled and I even have a plugin installed that prevents automatic updates. Even that plugin could not stop the update.

    This has never happened before. None of the other plugins have updated. Even the wordpress version doesn’t update in that arbitrary way. The case was repeated on different sites, on different servers and hosting providers. Also different WP versions.

    It seems that you executed some UNCONTROLLABLE update script via Elementor PRO license account.

    I have already notified via chat about this aberrant situation. Please do not force an update, it seriously detracts from the choice of Elementor to work professionally.

    Please stop running it or add an option to enable or disable any automatic update. Thank you.

    Are you an Elementor Pro user? It seems you are.

    Yes, I have licenses and I am an Elementor PRO user, however, another rare aspect of what happened is that only the base or free plugin was updated, not the PRO version counterpart.

    Then you cannot seek support on this site for Elementor. Stop attempting to rationalize that, customers are not supported on this site at all.

    You are an Elementor Pro user. The developer can’t have a conversation with customers here. That’s not permitted for anyone.

    For pro or commercial product support please contact the developer directly on their site. This includes any pre-sales topics as well.

    As the developer is aware, commercial products are not supported in these forums. I am sure they will have no problem supporting you there.
