Cannot activate WP Staging

    WP STAGING is compatible with the latest version of WordPress.

    Can you install and activate other plugins normally? Please enable WP_DEBUG mode following this guide, then re-activate the plugin and submit the debug.log file via this form:
    https://wp-staging.com/support/

    And we will help you further from there.

    Hi Alaa,

    Thanks for following up. I have confirmed that I can install and activate other plugins normally. I will look into enabling WP_DEBUG mode and sending the logs. In the meantime can you explain why WP Staging is an incompatible plugin? https://wordpress.com/support/incompatible-plugins/

    Hi Kelsey,

    the wp staging free version makes use of ABSPATH and stores the staging site inside this folder. In the future, we are going to release an update that allows to clone a site into a writeable subfolder on wordpress.com systems and hope this will make wp staging compatible with wordpress.com
