WordPress admin panel screwed up and locks up the browser

    My admin panel was all screwed up yesterday (running v2.9.2) and after the upgrade to 3.0 last night, still is all messed up when using Firefox. So much to the point that the entire browser freezes and locks up. Screen shot below:

    What is stange about this is that everything looks and works fine in IE. Any ideas what the problem may be? I am not even running any Firefox plugins.

  • Do this:

    1. Deactivate all your plugins.
    2. Activate the default wordpress theme.
    If the problem still remains, go to Dashboard->Upgrades->Re-install automatically and check if the problem resolves.

    No luck. Although I am guessing this was a problem with my Firefox install. I uninstalled Firefox, deleted the Mozilla directories from program files and application data directories, reinstalled, and all is well.
