Sorry! Support and Update Access Period is Already Expired

When I try to purchase and download a file, I immediately get the error:
Sorry! Support and Update Access Period is Already Expired
I have tried the suggestions on the other posting, but then I get the next problem that I can’t save any of the settings in the Premium Package menu – the Save Settings gear just keeps spinning and no settings are saved.
Do you have any suggestions about what I can try next?
