    Hi,
I found out that in the tables of
    actionscheduler_actions
    actionscheduler_logs
    wpmailsmtp_tasks_meta

are logged some events like “mail_smtp_admin_notifications_update” in wpmailsmtp_tasks_meta
“action started via WP Cron” in actionscheduler_logs or “mail_smtp_admin_notifications_update” in the actionscheduler_actions.

Is this normal that it loggs all that and will it delete some values after a certain time automatically?
I’m just curious if this will add some entries forever per day to the database or if it will just safe it for e.g. a month.

    Thank you in advance!!

    Hi @thalakus,

    Thanks for reaching out!

We use action scheduler library to manage and schedule cron jobs.

As I have checked with our developers, I can confirm that you can safely delete all the “completed” actions under the WP Mail SMTP -> Tools -> Scheduled Actions area (see).

    I hope this helps. Thanks!

thank you!:) will this also be deleted automatically or do I have to do that manually from time to time?

Also I found out, that that doesn’t clear the data in “_wpmailsmtp_tasks_meta
which got entries like “wp_mail_smtp_admin_notifications_update W10=”

I want to make sure “from the beginning” that the database won’t grow too much with garbage-data in the next months

    Thank you in advance!!!

    Hi @thalakus,

Thanks for the response. We’re reaching out to our development team for further clarification regarding the action scheduler and tasks that have been scheduled. We’ll let you know when we have more details.

    Thanks!

    Hi there @thalakus,

Sorry about the late response on this. It looks like your post got missed. Our development team included functionality to clean up the tables automatically in version 3.5. This essentially tells our plugin to clean up after itself for things like one-time actions and orphaned meta data.

I hope that helps! Have a great day! ??
