Not displaying on front end

    I’ve been using this successfully for a long time (with an older version and an out dated version of the theme)

    I’ve since updated both and can no longer get the player to display on the front-end of the site.

    It’s baffling – no clear errors, enabled debugging but still nothing obvious.

    The theme I’m using is Themify Ultra.

    Hi @danny144,

    Thanks for your continued use of podcast player.

    The Problem

    I tested your mentioned page. Some of your theme or plugin is preventing a critical Javascript file to load (that is mediaelement-core-js). This is a WordPress core file and it should not be prevented from loading.

    We need to check which plugin or theme is doing this exactly,

    1. Kindly check what all plugins you have recently updated. Temporarily disable the first plugin and check if the issue resolved. If not, just enable that plugin again and disable the next plugin. This way we could find out which plugin might be causing this issue.

    2. If the above do not work, temporarily switch your theme to a WordPress default theme and check if that resolve the issue.

    Please inform me if this does not resolve the issue. We will try something else to fully resolve it.

    Wow thank you for your quick response.
    You were 100% right in terms of the mediaelement-core-js.
    I disabled all the plugins and re-enabled them but the issue still persisted so must be the theme. I’ll raise a case with the theme developer

    As a temporary fix I’ve added an entry in to the header.php to manually call the file you mentioned and that seems to be a working workaround!
