Can’t change 1st sub menu title in Admin

  • I wrote a plugin to display static content that members can copy and paste as email templates in their 3rd party CRM. The first sub-menu item repeats the link for the top menu page. Here’s where the problem starts.

    I followed the instructions on this page:

    But what I ended up with was the duplicated link and the sub menu link with the new copy below it.

    In effect I have three link that all work and show the correct info, but I only want two, by removing the duplicate.

    I’ve seen other plugins (w/ encrypted source) that do this, and I don’t see how to make this happen.

    Can anyone throw me a bone? What am I doing wrong?
