    Hello,

I have a French WooCommerce store translated to English using WPML. I am using your plugin to re-order checkout fields so that the email field is placed first during chekout.

I am unable to display fields in English. The checkout fields remain in French even on the English version of the store.

I have tried searching for strings in WPML, but everything seems to be translated to English already. I also installed Loco Translate, but all fields are also translated in English.

I can’t figure out why the field names are always displayed in French no matter what language is selected.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello, I had the same problem and I figured out the WPML Compatibility is one of the pro features of this plugin so in order to translate the stings with WPML you have to buy the pro version.

I installed the prenium version of the plugin, but the issue persists.

When I deactivate the plugin, the fields are in the correct language when I switch to English of French, which leads me to believe that the issue is with the plugin.

I opened a ticket on their website, I will follow up here with the answer.

The free version of our plugins is also compatible with WPML.

To translate the label and placeholder for default fields, just click the edit icon in each field and then submit save button in the popup without any changes.

Then go to the string translation screen in WPML and select the “woo-checkout-field-editor-pro” text domain. All strings will be displayed on the screen.

If your store base language is not in English, then you might have missed the default WooCommerce translation for default fields. We will fix this issue in the upcoming versions. However, to temporally resolve this issue, please update the field label and placeholder with a proper English string.

    We hope this will help.

    Thank you!
