This plugin is not nearly as customizeable as it claims to be.
I’d love to pay for some premium support for my customizations, sadly though it has only some kind of “pay per ticket” policy. But during development there’ll be like hundreds of tickets if i want to do it with beautiful, clean, hack-free code.

While i really appreciate your work and the plugin, you shouldn’t put “100% Customizable” on the front-page.

Allright good news: the gallery is using flexslider.
I reached out to woothemes and the devs of flexslider, they’re working on a fix right now:

I have the same issue with this plugin and the flexslider in jQuery.
The problem is, that Windows 8 counts as “touch enabled device” in some browsers/jQuery/or somewhere else.

Being able to touch, disables the standard navigation via mouse click and enables touch input. You should be able to go through the slider using your keyboard, gestures on trackpad (like two-finger-swipe left/right) or touch and swipe via touchscreen.

I haven’t checked yet, but i bet there is a if/else statement in the slider that enabled either click event OR touch event. That’s how it is in jQuery’s flexslider anyway.

As if you’d post a link to another blog in the post itself.

It is not a service. It is a source link. So the link is different in every post. It is not ONE service that should get pinged every time a post is published!
It is one source per post, that should be pinged when the post that has the particular source in its custom field gets published.

this is ridiculous…
EVERY of my links to youtube or vimeo is messed up and i can’t change it.
If i remove smart youtube, no link is embedded because of the “v”.
If i keep smart youtube, every link i ever set to youtube or vimeo is turning into a embedded video.

Downgrading – again.

sooo now i HAD to upgrade to easy implement vimeo and youtube into my wordpress posts.

The problem is still the same :/
i can choose in the settings if i want to parse “links”.
Great, if i chose it, i cant link to a youtube video without “smart” youtube embedding it. Disabling this option will remove every previous embedded video because they’re normal links.

So why do you still have the “v” in httpV:// ?
Obviously the plugin looks for a youtube link weather it has the v in it or not.

The Plugin should work the other way around. Embedd all youtube links (and texts) which include the “v”. Everything else should be left untouched or at least give us an option for that.

I still can not find a logic reason for you to change that from 3.x to 4.0 (“PRO” Version) as we all used it like pasting a youtube link into wordpress and add the “v”. Of course 95% of those pasted links are in fact hyperlinks – and those are not working in the pro version anymore? Come on…

I guess the most simple solution is adding an option like:
“Parse links ONLY with httpv:// prefix”

Any explanation, recommendation and/or fix would be highly appreciated.

wait… so i can upgrade now and the video-size AND the “clickable link”-thing is no problem anymore? I won’t try untill someone tells me that i can do it without messing my up my old posts.

The changelog doesn’t say much except “bug fixes”…

i thought there is a date. Not an exact one but i thought wp 2.8 will be released in april 09. Which is over – tomorrow :O
