    * site under construction

    Hi I’m trying to use the ‘add media’ feature in WP to allow users to upload a gallery of images. I’m doing this in the Notes section (I’ve changed the string). The toolbar that has the media button is not showing up on the form (form extension) on the bio or the notes sections. In inspect I see it has a class of .hide-if-no-js but I don’t see why any JS wouldn’t be loading, it seems to load fine on the rest of the site. Please help as the client insists on a way to upload images.

    Thanks!

    Only admins will have access to the add media. Allowing it would give anyone access to the entire media library. The only supported methods for allowing a user to upload images are via the photo and logo fields. This is intentionally limited for the security of the site. The only option would be for the user to copy-paste URLs to images in the notes field, and then it would be up to the admin to download.

    That’s actually what I was wanting to test for, what it exactly allowed to upload because I wasn’t sure if it gave the same media options as it did when logged in.

    Thanks for the reply!
