I checked my site today and realized my shop is not working. Turns out the Woocommerce plugin is no longer installed for some reason and when I go to reinstall it I get an error message that states “Installation failed: Destination folder already exists.”

How do I remedy this problem and get my store back up and runnning?

Seems there’s some issue with your installation.

To address this, we recommend installing WooCommerce manually by removing the old WooCommerce plugin files and replacing them with the newly downloaded version. See the guide below for more info:

    • Download the WooCommerce plugin and extract the file.
    • Log in to your FTP server using FileZilla or any other FTP client. Navigate to the wp-content/plugins directory of your WordPress install.
    • Delete the WooCommerce folder
    • Place the extracted folder in the wp-content/plugins folder.
    • After that, head over to the plugin page of your WordPress site and activate the WooCommerce plugin.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have further questions or if you need further assistance.

We’ve not heard back from you in a while, so I’m marking this thread as resolved. Hopefully, the above info was helpful.
