I have installed EAN plugin and the EAN field appeared correctly in the Inventory. In Tools, I enabled option to copy EAN from Meta Data with meta key ‘gtin’. Currently, most products have EAN input using the Google Product Feed plugin. No EANs have been copied though.

    1. How do I copy all EANs from GTIN field in GPF automatically
    2. How do I automatically or manually generate EAN only for products that currently do not have GTIN
    3. How do I automatically generate EAN for all new products?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @marcinayaadmin,

Sorry for the late reply, I didn’t get a notification from wp.org for some reason :/

    1. I’ll need to test it on my server and get back to you about this.

    2. If you go to “WooCommerce > Settings > EAN > Tools > Product Tools” and run our “Generate EAN for all products” tool there, then EANs will be generated only for products that do not have EAN set already. That is, the plugin will not overwrite the existing EANs.

    3. You need to set “Automatic actions > New product” to “Generate” (it’s in “WooCommerce > Settings > EAN > Tools > Product Actions”). I would also suggest setting “Automatic actions > Update product” to “Generate” as well – this will not make any harm, because as in the “Generate EAN for all products” tool case, it will not overwrite the existing EANs.

    Hi again @marcinayaadmin,

I’ve checked the Google Product Feed plugin, and it looks like they are storing their GTIN in an array. So I had to make some changes to our plugin. Please update our plugin to the latest version 3.7.1 (released just a couple of minutes ago). Then you need to go to “WooCommerce > Settings > EAN > Tools > Product Tools”, and there, in the “Copy product meta” tool options, set “Meta key” option to _woocommerce_gpf_data and “Meta sub key” option (this is the new option I’ve just added in v3.7.1) to gtin. Save changes, and try running the “Copy product meta” tool – I believe it should work fine now.

Please give it a try and let me know what you think.

Hi, thank you so much for all the answers.

I have now set it up as you recommended and it works fine! My biggest concern was copying all GTINs from GPF and overriding existing EANs so your tips and plugin update are perfect.

    Really appreciate it.
