Easy to use, good support

I found EDD easy to set up and use. A good variety of extensions to choose from and they work well. I had a problem with shipping not being applied, contacted tech support and they got back to me quickly. The first time they had difficulty replicating the issue at their end, so weren’t able to sort it, but the second time they did – and immediately implemented a fix for me. Very happy with the support.
EDD was set up for digital products, which is why I chose it, as I initially planned to sell almost all downloads, aiming for all downloads in a few years’ time. However, circumstances have changed so I’m now selling more physical products – and finding the shipping problematic: I’ve had to work out complex discounts so that customers are not charged crazy amounts if they buy more than one product, etc… I take the point of the developers that EDD was never intended for physical products, but I would be happy to pay more for an extension (3rd party or not), as migrating to WooCommerce at this point just doesn’t make financial sense…
Update July 2022 – had to contact them re a tech problem – despite the fact that it was my error in forgetting to update my theme, they were quick to get back to me and very friendly about it! Really can’t fault the support – thanks EDD!
