Woocommerce shop page messed up with wordpress update 5.9.1

This is specifically caused by wordpress update 5.9.1
If I revert back to wordpress 5.8.3 the problem goes away2 things:
it makes the background cover the whole page (no overlay) and then it shows those error messages top and bottom and removes the menu on desktop and mobile

Template part has been deleted or is unavailable: footerNow it looks like it only affects the Woocommerce shop pages (and a few blog pages) but woocommerce is most concerning because it generates revenue for a lot of small businesses.
It doesn’t affect the main page

Can you roll out a fix to make it compatible? I keep reverting back to the old to make it work but WordPress forces update back to the current version
