VLP shortcode – title and summary

I’ve been reading up on the VLP shortcode documentation (https://help.bootstrapped.ventures/article/262-manually-construct-the-vlp-shortcode) and it appears the shortcode still does not automatically retrieve the title and summary (speaking specifically for external links).
What is the status on that capability?
