Product editor sidebar disappears while scrolling

    I can’t understand, if I didn’t solve it or was this just an anomaly that it seemed fixed. It is not fixed and the problem persists even if all other plugins are disabled.

    Basically the sidebar disappears if the desciption is long and I try to scroll lower from the product image or tags. Starting with the product tags or image the sidebar gets sticky and floats when scrolling down, but disappears after that when scrolling up, until scrolled to top. Then the sidebar appears visible until I scroll too low again.

    Though I have found out, where the troubles actually start: when the div with the id “poststuff” gets higher than 1424px (I might be mistaking +-5px).
    When the floating starts, the div with the id “side-sortables” gets the style

    position: fixed;
top: auto;
bottom: 20px;

    Right after starting to scroll up, the div “side-sortables” style changes to

    position: absolute;
top: -1404.36px;

    though it should be still using “bottom: 20px” instead of “top” attribute.

  • All those sticky things are coming from any other plugin, it’s not from WooCommercrce or from WP core. I also notice CSS design changes on your page. so either theme or any plugin is adding extra CSS and js on-page that’s making conflict.

    How are the other plugins doing that if they are turned off (disabled)?

    It could be your theme.

    We have been through this already. Read the link I posted.

    Even if the theme is disabled (active Twenty Twenty One), the problem persists with no other plugins being active.

    Since the previous post was made some months ago, and for us to check your current site set up much better, please provide the following:

    * Share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    * Error Log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs (if available).

    …and this continues repeatedly at least 100 times or more, but this does not help with JS or CSS problems

    As mentioned I was checking this and your previous post, I’ve also seen a video that displays the issue (in the previous post). I am assuming it is the same issue, correct?

    To clarify, did you open your site using another browser? Is the issue present when using another browser? Can you please check this? Are there any browser extensions installed on the browser when checking the issue?

    • Woocommerce’s PHP is where the div “poststuff” is created
    • Woocommerce’s CSS has references to div “poststuff”

    Regarding this part:

    error 60: SSL certificate problem: certificate has expired

    You can get in touch also with your host to check this.

    Also, I’ve found this alternative solution for the error.

    Yes, I tried this on Edge, too, and there are no extensions.

    I’ve performed some cross-testing on my staging site with the latest versions of WordPress, WooCommerce, and the default Storefront theme as the only enabled software. When doing so it seems that I was able to reproduce the issue which you described. Please check the Loom video for more details:

    Looking at the WooCommerce Github repository I could not find a report for this. Could I get you to open up a new issue on GitHub and check with the developers if this is intended behavior or should be considered as a bug?
