• Terrible, buggy, bloated page builder which will kill your page ranking. In a simple landing page you will end up with about 1500 DOM elements! But that is the least of your worries.

With the later updates, the changes do not always get synced with the live website. You have to keep regenerating the CSS, and sometimes even change the way the CSS is loaded. The UI is painfully slow, and the global colors do not show up everywhere (the latest in the unending saga of bugs).

If you are caching at various levels (WP, server, CDN, Browser), it is guaranteed that changes will not show up. Disable all caching otherwise you will be clearing cache at 3-4 places. But most of the time even this is not enough. Sometimes you have to log out of WP to see any changes take effect. I am yet to see their response on this deal breaker.

Some important settings are buried deep inside and you will keep scratching your head over their existence. Template section can get terribly overcrowded with drafts (due to the stupid autosave) and it is near impossible to make out which template is being used.

They have these so called ‘Experiments’, or features in beta stage, which will keep tripping your site. There is no way to know which one is doing it, so it is best to turn all of them off.

Support is hot and cold. On occasions they have done well, but mostly it is of the “Check if your cable is plugged in” types. Small issues are resolved fairly quick, but some can take over a day. Inconsistent is the best word.

I have also faced nightmarish issues in license activation and lost a lot of time due to it in the past.

Documentation is a joke. Demo videos are outdated. Enough said.

The more worrying thing is that the product has gotten worse with time. It is perhaps the only plugin which progressively gets buggy without addition of a single new feature. ROFL. It is a clear sign of a failing product. Probably the people who use it are those who are likely to shut their site within months. No serious business will want to be saddled with such a poor product for anything more than 6 months.

Stay away from it. Better do some hard work and learn how to use one of the themes (Astra, Neve, Ocean WP) to make things work for your website. It requires a little more effort the first time, but will be worth it.

EDIT: I am changing my opinion of customer support from iffy to awful. Still waiting for a fix on the many bugs in the latest release. Website work has come to a halt.

  • Hi Malyaj,

Thank you for your feedback, and for the time you took to share it.

I am sorry to hear about your experience with us, and I want to assure you that we are doing our best to give the best support and provide the best experience with Elementor.

We took the time to go over your concerns through the tickets you have opened and I see that we have managed to resolve most of the issues you have reported.

On one specific ticket, you have reported multiple issues in the same thread which may have caused a delay in our understanding and reply since we tried to investigate each concern on it’s own.

I understand the biggest issue you had was the change that wasn’t appearing live on your website.

this could happen due to caching that is coming from plugins or servers, But in most cases, it is caused by a third-party plugin which may cause a conflict.

If you have any other concerns we would love to assist you and improve from them.

I see that we have replied with possible solutions in all of your tickets.
I would love to know if it works for you.

Again we would like to thank you for the feedback. it helps us improve.
