    Hi,

We’ve been using this plug-in along with the Event Espresso V3 plugin: https://eventespresso.com

We set up a group of standard “course descriptions” as a custom post type and insert them within the event description in Event Espresso to keep things consistent with the Insert Pages shortcode.

It looks like as of version 3.7.0+ Insert Pages just shows blank when inserted into an event with the classic editor. Other short-codes work and downgrading to version 3.6.1 will restore the functionality.

I did test the latest 3.7.1 just in a standard post/page and it works, so I’m not sure where the problem is exactly. But I wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions. This is WordPress 5.9.1.

Yeah, version 3.7 includes some extra permissions checks because of https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2021-24851

So it’s likely something about Event Espresso is getting blocked here.

Since Event Espresso is not open source we do not have access to test it, but you can reach out to those developers for support and point them here if they need any coordination from us.

One other thing to try first though: check Insert Pages settings for the Insert method used; if it is set to legacy, try using normal.

    Cheers!

Hey Paul. I had this issue as well, without the Expresso plugin, and changing to normal resolved it.
Thank you for your help ??

Confirmed that changing it from Legacy to Normal resolved it for me as well. Thank you!
