Categories don’t work

You’re going to need to do a touch of extra legwork to get your custom post type into the default category/tag archives, since WordPress doesn’t do that for you automatically.

By chance are you on WordPress.com instead of a self hosted install? If yes, then Automattic support may be a better route to seek support for with this specific topic.

it’ll add all CPTUI based post types to both the category archives as well as the tag archives.
