    Hello,

I am seeking for help with the logo display in the snippet of google search.
On all my pages, the yoast google search display shows my logo showing up.
But when I search for my website in search engines, it shows without logo.

My website is not new it was up and running in 2020 and I never changed the logo.

See here the back end of my home page and the snippet showing up the logo: https://paste.pics/4fbb2c2af87ecafa8adfab652bf77d87

Do you know how to fix this?

    Thank you,

    Simon

    Hello Simon,

Thanks for reaching out regarding your website favicon. I can also confirm that the favicon is not showing in mobile search results though you have it correctly set in the backend.

First, I’ll like to mention that the favicon is not outputted by the Yoast SEO plugin but by WordPress itself; your theme could add some CSS code for it. Viewing the page source, it does not seem the favicon. Kindly ensure again that you have set the Site Icon in the proper Customizer area by following our guide for changing the favicon: How to change your favicon in WordPress: a step-by-step guide.

    After that:
    1. Check WordPress > Appearance > General > Site identity to make sure you add a square icon at least 512×512 px.
    2. Go to your Google Search Console account, and ask for reindexing your homepage.

Furthermore, note that Google Favicon is the user agent for downloading favicons defined by websites. It is a low-volume crawler; it may occasionally visit your site’s homepage based on signals gathered during indexing or triggered by a user request. To request that the Google Favicon user agent crawl your page, you can request indexing of your site’s homepage. Updates can take a few days or longer to appear in search results.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks for your reply.
This: 1. Check WordPress > Appearance > General > Site identity to make sure you add a square icon at least 512×512 px.

This is good because before recently, it was working perfectly fine.
I try the re-indexation of the website which didn’t work ??

    Hi,

We’re checking the page source of your website again and we aren’t seeing the favicon output code. Please do check on this again and request indexing of your site’s homepage.

Please see screen shot here: https://paste.pics/2cfa4bc5bba3c0b790ed76a363747fe7

This is my favicon logo 512 x 512 it’s there since I created the website. As I mentioned before, it was working fine for 2 years and suddenly the favicon won’t show up anymore on google search.

I re-indexed my website when your colleague recommended me to so a week and a day ago.

How come the Favicon output code went away? Do you know how to fix that?

    thanks

    Hi @simonmoricemedia

Upon reviewing the page source, we do see that you have the appropriate <link rel="icon"> output for the favicon. The sizing seems to be 32×32 and 192×192.

Google’s guidelines for the favicon mention that the selected logo should be divisible by 48, so maybe that’s something you can take a look at and change and see if it helps.

You can learn more about it here – https://developers.google.com/search/docs/advanced/appearance/favicon-in-search
