Content from text widget doesn’t appear on local install

  • Forgive me, I’m new and still learning.

    I just finished creating a local copy of my live wp site for development and backup.

    Everything works fine except for some important content I placed in the sidebars and footers of the live site using the text widget. Now, the text widget does not appear in any of the sidebars or footers on the local site. This is the only widget used.

    I couldn’t find the content from the Text widget anywhere on the server using my FTP client. Now I’m afraid to upload my wp-content folder or update my databases for fear of losing important content on the live site.

    Has anyone experienced this problem? Any suggestions?
