Connect with PayPal button doesn’t open popup

    Hello,
    I’m trying to connect PayPal to GiveWP but when I click on “Connect with PayPal” button no popups or other windows show up. The button only changes its status to “Processing…” for a few seconds and then returns to its normal status and nothing comes up.
    I have last version of WP, theme and plugins and I already tried deactivating all plugins but GiveWP and switching to a default theme.
    Also tried manually consent popup for the website in browser settings.
    Reproduced this issue in Chrome, Edge and Firefox.
    In browser console it seems there are no errors.

    Is there anything else that I can try?
    I can also create credentials for support team if needed.

    Hi,
    I find a similar problem on Altervista hosting.
    To solve this, I had to unblock server to server connections even though *.paypal.com was present in the whitelist.
    Does the plugin make any other calls to external servers? This way we may ask to whitelist an additional server.

    Hi @anguria65,
    yeah I found the same solution as you some hours ago. Unblocking server to server connections does the job.
    Like you said, if we could know the URL called we could ask Altervista to add that in their whitelist for preventing other users from having the same problem.
