    Hi,

Somehow, The plugin seems to work fine in al respect, no error messages, and everything is shown as it should, but all the files I upload are 0 kb. They are stored, I can see them in the shared-files folder with FTP, they download, everything seems to work…. My theme uses Elementor. I tried Compatibility mode, with the same result.

    Any clues?

    THX

    Hi,

I have a couple of questions that could help investigating the issue:

    1) Are you using the front end uploader or do you add the files from the WP admin / file management?

    2) Do you have access to the PHP error log, are there any warnings or errors when you add a file?

    Hi,

    Thanks for your quick repsonse.

    1) I add files from the back-end. I just tried the front-end uploader, ntaht results in an error message:

    Error in processing form data.

    2) I don’t know about php error log. Do I have one? I have FTp access to my files… However, since I am still i development, wp_debug is active, but that produces no errrors (in the back-end).

    thx

Thanks for the info. I believe wp_debug should display those messages written to the log, so maybe it is not needed.

Is it possible for you to create a temporary admin user for us, so we could do some testing? You could send the credentials using the form here: https://www.sharedfilespro.com/support/

I have now made an improvement to the plugin: the file size is calculated in a more reliable way.

Also regarding the front end uploader, that “Error in processing form data” might be caused if the file upload page is cached. If you are planning to use it, you might want to disable caching for that page.

I’ll mark this as resolved now, but let me know if you still encounter any issues.

    Hi,

Thanks for your efforts. I was away for a bit so couldn’t respond promptly.

However: The issue is not resolved…. strangely, in the overview I do now see the file size it is supposed to be, but the files om the server are all still 0kb.

I deactivated all plugins that might interfere but with no effect.
The front-end uploader dus not show the error anymore, but is now stuck on “processing file(s)”…

So, not resolved, I am sorry to say.
I created a temp admin account for you, and sent you the details through the support page.

    thx
