Trying to optimise slow site loading times I’ve noticed how long it takes for this plugin to load it’s style sheets. You can wait anywhere from 8 to 15 seconds for a page to load. By industry standards and for an e-commerce site it’s totally unacceptable.

These two files always at always at the top in terms of the long loading times
    admin-ajax.php?action=esf-insta-customizer-style&ver=5.9
    admin-ajax.php?action=easy-facebook-likebox-customizer-style&ver=6.3.3

Once I deactivated I immediately saw an improvement in page load time (less than 2 seconds compared to anything from 8 – 15 seconds).

The plugin does what it says well, but at a cost which you have to decide for yourself what is an acceptable loading time for your site and what the customer impact will be.

    Hi @trevorfourie,

Thank you very much for taking the time to write the review. I can completely understand the concern here and we are trying our best to increase them and don’t deny the fact that there’s always room for improvements.

When the plugin is active, it’s taking around 500 MS extra than without using it.

Could you please share a bit more details about your hosting infrastructure? I ran some tests on my end and the results are a bit different.

This happens when we use the shortcode to display the feed and only on the first load. On the second load, the plugin serves content from transient/temporary cache.

Also, on top of that, we have modules that mean if you are not using Facebook feed or Instagram feed, you can disable one of these and the plugin will only include the resources required for each service.

But I agree with you here, the files you mentioned above should not be included on the homepage. This is something we can fix in the upcoming release. Once, it’s fixed, I will update you and other invaluable users of the plugin here.

Once I know more about your hosting and setup. I will be happy to investigate and try to improve the performance.

Thank you very much once again for your time to write the feedback.

I have exactly the same problem. Loadtime about 7 to 9 seconds for the stylesheets that are only 10Kb in size! When turning on caching (lite speed) problem is solved but first time visitors and everytime when cache is cleared this takes up too much load time to justify keeping the plugin.
Site is running on shared hosting.
