I’m happily using recent post with thumbnail widget for my website https://www.joslammers.nl.

Only recently I noticed that in the widget-text strange abbreviations appear when I look at the website homepage on a PC. On a phonescreen or laptop everyting looks just fine.

Any suggestions how I can solve this issue?

    Hello @joslammers.
I double checked your website and can not see “strange abbreviations”.
Can you please explain more in detail what you noticed?

    Of course…

When I look at the text of the current recent post on PC-screen, the word ‘kleindochter’ is broken as ‘kleindochte’ and ‘r’. Which is incorrect language ??

Same situation on a phonescreen no problem, the widget seems to not make abbreviations (breaks) there at all…

    Thanks for the help!

This depends on screen size and browser. For example, on Windows with Firefox I do not have this issue. With Edge I get it, too.
The word break comes because the with of the space is not large enough to fit the entire word. This is why the browsers adds a word break.
So, this is not an issue with Recent Posts Widget With Thumbnails but with your theme in combination with the lenght of the word you are using.
Unfortunately this is nothing I can help with.
