We were having issues with syncing so disconnected and reconnected the plugin, which then wouldn’t integrate and we kept getting the ‘Whoops something went wrong’ message. We deleted the plugin and then reinstalled which solved the error message.

We now no longer have the ‘shop.name – WooCommerce’ catalogue that auto-syncs to the plugin. If I try to set up a new data source via the pixel, we get an error that the pixel is ‘not ready’ and when we checked it via the microdata checker we get the error message ‘Data validation failed’.

The pixel seemed to be working fine before, and when we check it on the Pixel Helper it says it is running and the microdata is working.

We just need the shop up and running with the catalogue synced and updated, can you advise?

  • Hi @carriekay,

Sorry to hear about that! It looks like the Facebook connection didn’t set up correctly.

Here are a few steps you can take to fix this:

    – Ensure that you are both the admin and owner of the Facebook assets
    – Confirm you have 2FA enabled for the Facebook account you are using
    – Go to https://kivotosjewelry.com/wp-admin/options.php and search for wc_facebook_external_business_id
    – Update field to include only supported characters and save (best practice: store-name-dfsdc3lck9k6q ← 13-digit random string
    – Go back to WooCommerce > Facebook and click “Get Started” again.

    I hope this helps!

I have checked we are the admin & owner of the Facebook assets, we do have 2FA enabled and I have checked the wc_facebook_external_business_id field and it is rene-k-couture-5f23d5fd8c3db which is correct.

I have then disconnected and tried to reconnect the plugin with Facebook and now we are not able to complete the integration due to ‘Could not retrieve Facebook Business Extension System User’.

I have been able to integrate the plugin with Facebook again, but it is still saying the Pixel is ‘not ready’ as the ‘microdata is incomplete or incorrectly formatted’.

In the times we have deactivated the plugin, the pixel no longer comes up on the Pixel Helper at all but once activated again it all looks normal and says it is tracking the pixel and microdata, is this normal?
