Need Help Re-Uploading Archived Core Files to New URL
-
Hi,
I’ve been wrestling with this for 24 hours now and can’t seem to figure out what to do.I archived all of my WordPress core files that were in FTP to my desktop as a full backup the other day because I wanted to move from a subdomain to my root domain.
I made the mistake of deleting the MySQL database within the {GoDaddy} Hosting Manager – and created a new one hoping I could repair it by altering the config.php file, and the options file in the new database.
I ended up just trying to retrace my steps and I’ve gotten the subdomain back up and running – but I can’t seem to get it to Re-Load all of the new design work and theme settings that I’d had (the files that I archived in the very beginning zipped on my desktop.)
But when I pull up the site – it’s the stock original theme and none of my pages or posts or custom design is showing up.I’m on a Mac so there’s a “_MACOSX” folder being generated somehow that I’m not sure about. Otherwise – I’m at a loss…
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
