    Hello,

I’m currently testing in a dev environment with zero other plugins activated and the WP Twenty Twenty One theme.

If a user is currently viewing the List view /events/list/ and then clicks on the ‘Next Events >’ link at the bottom, they wind up on a “paged” view with a URL like /events/list/page/2/. Having paged for List views makes sense.

At this point however, if they click the ‘Month’ link in the events bar at the top they wind up at a URL like /?post_type=tribe_events&eventDisplay=month&paged=2.

This is a very strange view as it shows a Calendar view, but with the first “x” number of events seemingly missing due to the paged parameter. It feels like the “paged” parameter should only be available for the list view and not month views as month view have their own (more logical) way of dealing with a large number of events.

  • Hi there,

    Thanks for reaching out.

This is indeed unexpected behavior with our plugin. Can you please check your WordPress permalink settings to see if you have the “post name” option selected? If it isn’t, then switch to it and see if that resolves things.

If that doesn’t sort the problem out, then please try deactivating and removing the plugin, then reinstalling it.

    Best regards,

    Marho

    Hello @matumu !

I have tried both of those steps and neither are making a difference for me. I use ‘Day and name’ for my permalink settings. I changed that and it didn’t make a difference. I also disabled, deleted, and reinstalled the plugin, while the ‘Post name’ permalink settings were in place, and that didn’t make a difference either.

    Hi @tflight

I’m sorry to hear that didn’t work for you!

As a next step, can you try a quick test and see if the functionality works as expected with a bare WordPress install? A bare install is basically a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty and no other plugins besides ours installed. You may want to consider trying this out on a staging site so that you don’t have to switch things around on your live site.

    I hope that helps!

    Thanks,
    Jaime

    Hi @jaimemarchwinski ,

Yes, per my initial post I tested this with no other plugins and a default WordPress theme and a dev site.

    Hi @tflight

Do you have any caching plugin in place through WordPress or through your hosting provider? If so, does deactivating this make a difference?

Are you using WPML or another language support plugin? Does temporarily removing this resolve the issue?

    I hope that helps!

    Thanks,
    Jaime

    Hi @jaimemarchwinski ,

I use Redis object caching, but flushing it or disabling it makes no difference. No other plugins are installed.

    Hi @tflight,

Thanks for following up, and apologies for the delay in my reply here.

I’m curious. Could you provide me a direct URL to your website? Moreover, could you also make sure that the plugin are update to the latest version.

Looking forward to helping you out with this one.

    Best,

    Hi @abzlevelup,

Here is a demo site. Fresh install just now with zero other plugins, default WordPress theme. Steps to reproduce:

    1. Visit https://09d146e151.nxcli.net/calendar/ and note the event you can see on April 30.
    2. Click on ‘List’ to go to the list view. You will see 8 events listed here, the same number I’ve set in Settings –> General –> ‘Number of events to show per page’. You will now be at https://09d146e151.nxcli.net/calendar/list/ So far so good.
    3. Click on ‘Next Events’ to see more events as there are more than 8 upcoming events. You will now be at https://09d146e151.nxcli.net/calendar/list/page/2/ and again, so far so good.
    4. Now click on ‘Month’ to go back to the Month view. Here is where things go wrong. You seen a message “There were no results found for this view” but that is incorrect. Recall there is an event on April 30, as seen in step 1. Note you are on a “paged” URL, but shouldn’t be.

    Howdy @tflight,

Thanks for getting back to me with this detailed information here and how to replicate the issue.

I was able to replicate the issue from your website and my test site. I would definitely check with the team and see what’s up or if there are any workarounds for this as well.

    See screen recording here:

Just to confirm that we are using the same version of the plugin, could you provide me the version you are using?

    Looking forward to your response.

    Hi @tflight,

We already identified this as a bug, and I already created an internal bug ticket: BTRIA-1197 for this. I also added your case to the ticket.

Once the fix is out, we will make sure that code is on the changelog so that everyone involved can see that the solution was put in place.

I cannot promise any estimated time of arrival for the bug fix because our team has a lot of competing priorities.

We would update you whenever there’s an update with this ticket here.

    Best,
    Abz
