Keeping existing legacy news tickers

    Hello,

    I find this new version quite confusing when used to the legacy one and will try to keep the old one as long as possible.

    2 questions:

    – is there an import procedure for importing legacy tickers into the new configuration?

    – I read about a “Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability” affecting versions prior to 3.0.15. Is this vulnerability also affecting the legacy version 2.3.14?

    I’m still working on a migration tool from the old News Ticker post type to the new Ditty post type. As you noticed, the 2 post types are set up quite differently so even when a migration tool is built there may still need to be some manually tweaks to get the migrated Ditty looking as you’d like.

    The XSS vulnerability was caused by a bit of code in the new Ditty settings page. This is not an issue with the legacy version.
